Krakow Recommended Accommodation Areas and Featured Hotels

The following two hotel areas are recommended in Krakow
- Old Town Area
- Krakow Central Station Area
The Old Town area of 1 has many quaint hotels with a medieval atmosphere. You can experience what it is like to stay at a hotel while listening to the sound of horse-drawn carriages’ footsteps.
The Krakow Central Station area in 2 has good access to all directions.
Bus stops for Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Pit are also close by, so this area is convenient for those who travel a lot outside of Krakow.
Hotels in the old town are often quite old. Often there are no elevators. Soundproofing is not very good, and outside noise can be bothersome. (The Old City is lively until midnight.)
If you prefer a quiet, modern hotel, we recommend the area near the central station.

If you want to visit Polish tableware stores in Boleslawiec, you must drive around by cab, private car, or rental car.
If you are traveling by car, I don’t think it will make much difference where you stay.
If you’re planning to visit the Boleslawiec Pottery Festival on foot, the best place to go is around the Old Town Square!
Hotel Centrum
It is located near the Central Square, the main venue of the Boleslawiec Pottery Festival.
Because of the popularity of the hotel, it is better to make reservations very early during the pottery festival!

Booking.comWhich site do you recommend for hotel reservations in Poland?

Expedia, Booking.com, agoda… Which hotel booking site should I use?
The most major hotel booking site in Europe is Booking.com.
I use Booking.com almost 100% of the time to book my hotels!
The site is easy to use and there are member discounts.
There are “almost” no problems with reservations or payments.
I had a problem once, because during the payment, the Internet went off and the screen froze, and when I clicked the payment button again, it resulted in a double payment….
However, I was refunded later and all correspondence was handled in Japanese!
It is nice and easy to communicate in Japanese when there is a problem.
Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk… book early for popular hotels!
Krakow-Wroclaw-Gdansk is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland.
Popular hotels are often booked up early. Be especially careful during summer vacation or when some event coincides with your stay.
Boleslawiec also fills up quickly with hotels during the Pottery Festival!
If there is a hotel you are interested in, get there early!
